I was driving home last night on Soldiers Field Road in Allston when, all of a sudden, the sky to my right got really bright and orange. Really bright, so bright that the street lights with their automatic daylight sensors turned off for a second. I turned to look and saw a huge fireball going up into the sky. I pulled over to the side of the road to get a better look, but my sister said, "Don't pull over, keep going." I kept going.
So, yeah, what the fuck is up with that?

Do you ever hear a buzzing or a high pitched whining sound? And once you've noticed, you can hear nothing else and it begins to drive you slowly insane? But maybe the noise has been there forever and you've just noticed? Or after a while you're not sure if the buzzing or whining really exists and perhaps it's entirely in your head? Then you turn to see if anyone is around to confirm the noise, but nobody's there because you're at home and you live alone? And really, why would you bother to turn around when you know nobody's in your apartment?
Yeah, I know that's just me.

Some Timing Problems from the Last Week
1. I got my car inspected (the previous inspection sticker had expired in November of 2001).
2. I ordered new checks to reflect my current address (I moved into my current apartment in September of 2000).
3. I overslept this morning by an hour (I missed Daylight Saving Time by 36 hours).
4. I laughed at a Garfield comic strip (Garfield was last funny in June of 1983).
5. I contemplated a bittersweet ending for this entry concerning love, loss and a heartbreakingly poignant childhood reminiscence (already cliché by Spring of 2001).
